NUTRITION Appointments
Initial appointments are generally 60 - 75 minutes, and this is when we discuss your goals and concerns, any health and medical issues, and identify areas in your diet and lifestyle you want to address. We go over your medical history, your diet, your lifestyle and any stressors in your life. We also review your prior experiences and discuss what has and hasn’t worked for you in the past. I ask a lot of questions (!!) during the first session, but I also LISTEN to your thoughts, experiences and feelings. We spend a great deal of time identifying areas to modify, and prioritizing a plan of action, so that you have a clear roadmap of how to achieve your goals.
During the initial session, I provide some nutrition education to help you understand the WHY behind dietary changes, and we establish clear short-term and long-term goals for you. We outline the next steps for you, and I provide you with resources and meal ideas, based on your dietary preferences, to help you get started!
In many cases, your health insurance will cover an initial preventative nutrition visit and follow-ups. During the initial visit, we will also schedule a time for your follow–up visits; the frequency of these will depend on your goals. Some clients like to follow up every 2 -3 weeks, whereas others will schedule a month out, especially if they have worked with me for a while.
Follow Up Appointments
Follow up appointments are generally 45 minutes long, and include a review of your goals and a discussion of your progress. We discuss any difficulties and obstacles you may have encountered and develop solutions.
At follow up sessions, we build upon your successes, and establish new goals for you. We also outline the next steps for your health and wellness journey, and identify how certain modifications will help you achieve your goals.
Follow up appointments may be covered by some insurances. Out of pocket rates are listed here.
Coaching Packages
For clients seeking on-going accountability and support, and/or nutrition coaching for sports performance, I offer 1, 3 and 6- month coaching packages.
Coaching packages include an initial consult with meal and macro guides, regular, scheduled 40 minute follow-ups, and email support. Rates for my 1, 3 and 6-month coaching packages are listed here.
